Hampton Roads Neighborhoods
The neighborhoods of Hampton Roads vary about as much as the homes themselves. Norfolk is home to the largest U.S. Navy base called Naval Station Norfolk or NOB. This diverse city hugs the shoreline of the Chesapeake Bay and offers buyers many types of homes. East Beach is a new, real estate development while Larchmont, Lochhaven and Ghent are steady favorites for those seeking established neighborhoods.
Portsmouth houses Naval Medical Center Portsmouth and Norfolk Naval Shipyard. This port city of Hampton Roads also boasts the largest concentration of historic homes between Alexandria and Charleston.
