Mediterranean style homes are modeled after homes found in the Mediterranean. These homes traditionally have lower, tiled roofs with stucco walls, and common design elements include columns, arches and courtyards or patios. Earthtone colors, particularly red and orange, are often used in the design of these homes, as well as accents such as iron railings and other Spanish-inspired details.
