Historic Carrollton
Named for the Carroll family, prominent landowners of the 19th century, Carrollton is a city filled with history. The historic Carroll family home, just one of a handful of truly historic homes in Carrollton, is located at the intersection of Reynolds Drive and Norsworthy Drive, and at one time the home also is said to have served as the Carrollton Country Store. This home even predates the original Carrollton Post Office, which stands vacant about 300 feet east of the Carroll home on Norsworthy Drive.

Recent changes in Carrollton has resulted in extensive growth in the last decade, including two major shopping centers, fast food establishments, medical and veterinary medical centers, regional banks and a fitness center. Additional shopping centers are planned in the near future.
