Melannie Rhoad Named Vice President of Hampton Roads Builder Network

Hampton Roads Builder Network continues to expand its emergent territory where builder and agency work together to propel the sale of new construction homes in Hampton Roads. Melannie Rhoad will spearhead the development of this up and coming association.

Chesapeake, VA, September 10, 2012 – New hire, Melannie Rhoad, is part of the expansion of southeast Virginia's only builder network offering memberships that advance branding and market new homes. The Hampton Roads Builder Network provides affiliates with unprecedented levels of mass marketing to buyers and agents through Simon Media Holdings, LLC while instantly connecting them with the area's number one team of area buyer's agents- SimonHouses.com.

As vice president, Rhoad's immediate objectives are to evaluate builders' primary needs, develop communication strategies and keep affiliates in the loop. Essentially, she is slated to be the driving force towards selling massive amounts of homes for participating builders. Another initiative is establishing co-broke relationships, or educating local agents on the benefits of selling new homes and promoting builders' homes to these associates.

Rhoad's responsibilities will include creating and implementing success plans that increase new home sales while developing an internal network of listing, or site agents. She will recruit and train agents who will comprise the elite listing agent sales team for the New Homes Division of SimonHouses.com. After developing a thorough knowledge of homes, floor plans and communities, each of these agents will sell builder products efficiently.

Rhoad may be new to Hampton Roads Builder Network, but she's no stranger to real estate or new construction. “I feel like this position was tailor-made for me,” she beams. Rhoad says she came on board so her skill set could be put to its highest use. This conscientious self-starter looks forward to showcasing her talents here for the benefit of the builders.

This native of Hampton Roads graduated from Old Dominion University. She earned a bachelor's degree in finance with an emphasis in real estate. Even more importantly, she has years of experience in the new construction arena at both regional and national levels. “She was just what we needed. She has the perfect blend of experience, knowledge and personality,” explains Brian Simon, C.E.O. of Hampton Roads Builder Network.

This association originated after the successful implementation of a pilot program started earlier this year. This test proved what Simon thought all along, “Builders need us.” He knew he needed push the envelope, which meant creating this innovative network. He says, “We have an enormous amount of military buyers and most of them prefer to buy new.” Builders can see the potential that comes with being an affiliate.

While area agents and customers will benefit from these recent developments, the ultimate beneficiaries are the builders themselves. Rhoad explains that Hampton Roads Builder Network has a key approach, “We're going to create a purposeful synergy between builders and the media, marketing and sales force to promote new home sales.” The new vice president will serve as the eyes and ears for area builders assessing unique selling features of their products. She will then directly pass this insight down to sales agents, so they can quickly sell more of these homes.

New home builders can benefit from such a network relationship by gaining immediate access to new construction resources that will yield a powerful presence for every affiliate in this regional real estate market. “Melannie's experience in building new home communities from the ground up and running a really tight ship on site will be an huge asset,” says Simon.

The future is ripe with opportunity for the builders of Hampton Roads who align themselves with Hampton Roads Builder Network. Rhoad is excited about working towards her goal of helping this builder network become the association every home builder wants to join. Simon explains, “With the cutting-edge strategies we've put into play, we're anticipating immense amounts of growth in the years to come.” It seems Rhoad is just the person to lead this group to the next level as Simon indicates builders will enjoy working with her.

Hampton Roads Builder Network is the only one of its kind in southeast Virginia to provide the exposure to both marketing and buyer-centric agents specially trained in the art of new home sales. Promoting affiliated builders and the selling of their new homes are the main goals of this group based out of Chesapeake, Virginia.
