If you are looking for a real estate agent who really cares, Lisa Cox is the kind of agent who will listen to your needs and desires and translate what you are saying into finding the right house for you. She is tenacious and dedicated to helping you reach your goals. Lisa is energetic and kind and pours herself into others around her. "Life is Great!" is her motto and she lives that optimism out every day. She has a gift for helping people see ways to improve their lives. When Lisa decided to direct that energy into real estate in 2014, she knew she wanted to help renters become home owners. "I think home ownership provides families with a lot of security and stability." Her heart is especially focused on young families who may not think home ownership is within their grasp. It is Lisa's desire to help people reach beyond the confines of past generations or false beliefs that home ownership is only for someone else.

Lisa's passion for helping people live life better goes back to when she got her Bachelor's degree in Economics with an emphasis on Urban Affairs from Hampton University. She has a core belief that communities improve as individual families improve. And home ownership is one of the ways families can begin to build wealth and a future. "I want to convert renters into homeowners," says Lisa. "I believe it increases a sense of belonging and stability to communities."

Lisa loves everything about real estate. But her favorite part is the search. "I get really excited about showing people houses and helping them realize their dreams," says Lisa, breaking into her infectious smile. For Lisa, home is where she raised two amazing boys, who are now 19 and 25, and taught them to always bring brownies, because you never show up empty handed. Home is where she fought cancer twice, and won. Home is where Lisa dreamed up and designed Plushbuds, her adorable stuffed buddies that she sews and gives to others fighting difficult battles. She has an online store now where she sells the Plushbuds that go to orphanages in overseas locations like Liberia and to children who just need something to hold onto as they are facing a hard time. Home is where Lisa has lived out her dreams and she wants to make that a possibility for every one of her clients.

Lisa has more than drive and desire, she is also gifted in home design and layout. Architecture intrigues her. You would find Lisa at a Frank Lloyd Wright exhibit soaking up everything she can learn. Ultimately, Lisa would design and decorate houses for her clients and then hand them the keys, if she could. But for her it's great being able to guide her clients with her expertise and wisdom, and help them choose the home that is right for them. For those clients looking to sell, Lisa has an eye for what would appeal to potential buyers. She is ready to guide clients through the process of selling a home as well.

Charitable work finds its expression in Lisa's life in many forms and many organizations. She has spent years working in various capacities with Jack and Jill of America, Inc. She was the legislative chair, fundraising chair, and Santa social planner - Lisa has done it all! Children are her passion and Lisa is always involved in helping find ways to educate them either through after school programs and homework help or teaching life skills to children on the Autism spectrum.
