This hard-working, passionate, agent got her customer service training from one of the best in the business; Chick-fil-A. Julie spent 17 years working in many capacities, from team leader to human resource director. Julie was the kind of leader who made sure everyone had what they needed to be successful. While working for Chick-fil-A, the guests were her highest priority and she loved to serve them. Julie also spent time managing a Williams Sonoma store for several years. Her love of people also led her to work in patient advocacy for a while, teaching patients how to get the care they needed and how to advocate for themselves with their health care providers.
All that training has translated well to real estate. “As a real estate agent my vision is to make it as easy as possible for my clients as I help them get to their dream.” Being a detail-oriented person, Julie works hard to get all the boxes checked as she takes her clients through the process of home buying and selling. “I am relentless. I don’t stop until the job is done,” says Julie. “When I put my mind to something I go for the gold.” That tenacity is what makes Julie the kind of agent her clients enjoy working with.
Julie’s desire to help people is clear in the way she serves her clients. One client she recently helped was very nervous about buying a home. Her client was getting older and feared she was too old to be making such a big purchase. Julie patiently talked her through the pros and cons of home ownership. As they started looking for just the right property, they found the perfect condo. One with low maintenance, great updates, and everything on her client’s wish list. When fear would rise with signing each new document, Julie calmly reminded her why she fell in love with the condo and gave her space to make a decision without pressure. When Julie showed her client that she would be saving $700 a month over renting, her client was convinced. Julie’s way of calmly walking her clients through the process gives them confidence in their own decisions. “I want to wow my clients,” says Julie. “I want them to say in the end, ‘That was so easy.’”
This dedicated agent is also dedicated to her family and community. Julie is married to David and they have a 2-year-old son Asher. Asher was born with special needs. Serving others has taken on new meaning as Julie has had to learn to provide physical therapy for her son. Asher is her life and caring for him is her greatest joy. She also has a newfound compassion for other special needs families.
Giving back to her community is also important to Julie. She served in various capacities in the Jr Women’s Club of Williamsburg, when she and David resided there. She served as President at one point, and the organization led outreaches to under-privileged families, organized book exchanges for schools, helped fund the arts, and many other community service projects.
Family and faith are central to Julie’s life. She loves Christmas and everything of the holiday season. She decorates with passion, puts up 9 trees, bakes cookies, makes candies, and celebrates Christmas with what some might call fanaticism. Her holiday table usually has no less than 20 people around it as they bring family together to celebrate the birth of Christ.
When Julie’s not helping a client, you might find her at Koi Sushi and Hibachi in Suffolk, one of her favorite local restaurants. She also designs jewelry, creating unique pieces for friends and family. Her other hobby is sipping sweet tea. It’s an addiction. No really, it’s a problem!
