Helping people find the right house at the right price is a skill Darrell Jackson has developed over years of assisting friends and clients. He got his start in real estate because he saw the housing needs of people, and he had a passion for helping people meet those needs. Before he became an agent, he was helping people who needed affordable housing find homes. After assisting countless people for years, he finally decided to get licensed to increase his overall knowledge and ability to help even more. That was more than five years ago, although he has been assisting people since 2000. Darrell has since helped many clients buy and sell homes in a variety of circumstances.

Darrell is notably skilled in assessing his client’s situation and helping them overcome obstacles they may believe prevent them from becoming homeowners. He recalls one such client who had some challenging financial issues. She had given up hope of ever being a homeowner. Darrell advised her on some very strategic changes she could make to improve her credit. Though it took some time of her making smart choices in line with his advice, at the end, Darrell was able to assist her in purchasing a new home. “I understand this life presents many challenges for people. Some good, some not so good. I want to be an advocate for those who need someone,” says Darrell.

As your agent, Darrell will work diligently on your behalf. Whether buying or selling, he will help you strategize the best options to get you the best outcome. Let Darrell’s experience be your guide through the real estate process which can be difficult at times. He understands the challenges which may occur and is equipped to help you every step of the way.

Darrell was born and raised in Florida and came to the Hampton Roads area with the Navy. His job as a Legalman in the Navy forged strong discipline and order in Darrell’s life that has served him well in the real estate industry. He lives by the informal Navy motto, “Work smarter nor harder.” “I am committed to my clients and follow through with what I say,” says Darrell. “If I tell you I’m going to do something, I do it. I believe in respecting and honoring people.”

Darrell got his BS in Criminal Justice from Saint Leo University. Since leaving the Navy, he has been involved in the Voice of Believer’s Christian Academy where he presently serves dual roles as principal and teacher. His compassion motivates him to pour into his community and help people live better lives. He and his wife Precious of 21 years have eight children ranging in age from 7 to 26. He is active in mentoring young people and serves as the head basketball coach for a homeschool group Beach Breakers in Virginia Beach.

Family is a high priority to Darrell, and he enjoys spending his free time with them. He also loves sports, especially basketball and baseball. He also loves to fish when time allows. Growing up near the ocean and settling in a coastal city, it’s not a surprise that seafood is his favorite, particularly oysters, lobster, scallops, and shrimp.
