Carol Hymon is a passionate real estate professional who prides herself in giving her clients the service she would expect. A Hampton Roads native, Carol is well-versed in the many cities and neighborhoods that make up this coastal area. She was born and raised in Portsmouth, moved to Virginia Beach in middle school and graduated from Salem High school. The desire to get involved in real estate sparked when she started working as a receptionist in a real estate office. The more she learned, the more she knew she wanted to become an agent.
“My goal is to make sure my clients know I always have their best interests in mind,” says Carol. “Communication and client education are key to making sure my clients are happy.” Carol is a great listener who is always searching for those clues her clients provide that help her find the home to best suit their needs. If her clients mention their children love to swim, they may not say they want a pool, but she knows that finding a house with a pool or a community pool might be the extra they didn’t even realize they wanted.
Carol makes it a priority to ensure her clients understand the real estate process to empower them to make the best choices. In order to provide the most current information, Carol is always in the process of learning. “I’m dedicated to continuing to grow myself to be the best agent for my clients,” says Carol. She regularly reads up on what’s happening in real estate finance, she keeps current on local neighborhoods and area happenings, as well as real estate trends.
This goal-driven, high-energy, dedicated agent has been rewarded for her efforts. In 2017 she won inside sales agent for 6 consecutive months, which became inside sales agent of the quarter, and ultimately resulted in her being named inside sales agent of the year. When Carol sets a goal, she goes after it. Her goal for her clients is to give them a great client experience and to help them reach their goals. If it is to find the home of their dreams, Carol will work tirelessly until they find it. If it is to sell their home for top dollar, Carol will use all the resources at her disposal to list the home and market it to find a buyer in the quickest possible timeframe.
Clients have told Carol they like how she keeps it real. She doesn’t sugar coat the hard stuff. Staying honest with her clients and guiding them with factual information makes her an agent that clients can trust and keep coming back to. For Carol, the relationships she builds with her clients is one of the best payoffs that makes the job worthwhile.
Carol is married to Nick, who owns his own contracting business. Their complimentary careers have made them a great team. In their free time they enjoy looking for houses to flip. Carol’s latest passion is designing closets which she gets Nick to build for her. Their 10-year-old daughter Layla even gets in on the family business, helping stuff folders for clients and accompanying her mom to Open Houses. They have two rescue pit bulls named Luna and Tubtub. Some of Carol’s other interests are fast cars, traveling, cooking and eating great food, and bedazzling everything with her daughter.
