"House Hunters" Features Randy Tappen of SimonHouses.com

Randy Tappen, real estate agent with SimonHouses.com, helped a newlywed couple find their new home in Hampton, Va. His appearance on the HGTV's popular show, “House Hunters,” showed viewers how great agents make all the difference.

Chesapeake, Va., July 30, 2011- Hampton was privy to a little bit of the Hollywood magic when this city was featured in an episode of HGTV's hit series "House Hunters." Real estate agent Randy Tappen of SimonHouses.com was able to help Melanie and Kenny Thompson find their new home within a matter of days. Filmed in January of 2011, this episode of “House Hunters” aired July 28, 2011, on HGTV. When he first found out the couple had been selected to participate and he would be in the show as their agent Tappen says, "I was very excited. I thought it would be great."

Anyone who watches the show knows, choosing the right home can be a tough decision but Tappen made the process much easier for these homebuyers. The Thompsons were able to find what they were looking for- a new construction home in a nice neighborhood.

A fan of "House Hunters" himself, Tappen says he enjoyed being a part of the production and watching how a television show was made. He was most impressed with the final outcome which he enjoyed viewing with a select group of friends when the episode aired.

While he was on camera some of the time, Tappen explains the show primarily focuses on the buyers- their reactions and feelings about each potential home. He has gained both recognition and exposure from the whole process. Viewers have recognized him even though the show aired only days ago. “We were at a concert; people just stopped me and took my picture,” he laughs.
