A friendly smile, and a close relationship with clients and his family is what makes Randy Gonse a step above ordinary agents. Understanding his clients, to Randy means going beyond listening to their needs, it also means discerning certain situations to go beyond the need. A home buyer will say they need to buy a bigger house, but Randy will dig deeper and come to understand that the larger home is what his client needs to accommodate a growing family. The deeper level of understanding gives his clients the assurance they want in knowing they are in good hands.
Licensed since 2014, Randy is an active Hampton Roads Realtors Association (HRRA) member and the fifth person in his family to affiliate with the Real Estate industry. “You could say Real Estate is in my blood,” Randy says, “within my family we have four agents and a loan officer”. Between his family member and his own personal experiences of purchasing homes, Randy appreciates all the details that come together for each real estate contract. He believes his ability to listen to his clients and maintaining a positive outlook is the key to his success. That, and keeping up with the industry itself. Randy enjoys that the real estate industry is ever-evolving, especially that there is no shortage of new ideas, or new market conditions.
Randy is a born and raised Hampton Roads resident having lived in Chesapeake and Virginia Beach. “I love the diversity of Hampton Roads!” Randy says, “you can spend a day at the beach or in the city, but also live a country quiet lifestyle”. It also boasts a large military presence in the country, which to Randy hits close to home. His brother-in-law and father-in-law are servicemen in the United States Navy.
To Randy, being a real estate agent is more than just a profession. Receiving his license is an accomplishment and the best avenue to provide for his family. After meeting with Fit Realty’s Principal Broker, he knew that Fit was the company he wanted to grow with. “We had a lot in common as far as busy family lives,” Randy recalls, “but what stuck out the most was the passion and love he has for the agents”. Randy’s goals also include finding a larger home in Hampton Roads for his growing family of four.
As passionate as Randy is about real estate, he is just as passionate about his son and baseball. To Randy, the perfect day for him is to spend a sunny afternoon watching his son play baseball, “but any sunny day I can spend outdoors – hiking, playing football, or hunting – is a great day”. He enjoys coaching his son’s team along with cheering on his favorite team, the Baltimore Orioles.
