Dr. Brian P. Simon
Team Leader/Real Estate Agent/Builder/Investor
Dr. Brian Simon is more than an entrepreneur, he’s a well-rounded leader. Passionate about energizing his team to appropriately assess client’s needs and provide quality service, he has seen success in his role as team leader. The devoted staff at SimonHouses.com certainly benefits from Brian’s extensive training in leadership and his strong focus on team building. He holds a doctoral degree in leadership and coaching, is a certified mastercareer and corporate coach, and trains other leadership coaches. With such a dynamic leader at the forefront, Brian’s team is well-trained and eager to serve clients in finding the best home that meets both their preferences and budget.
After several generations of entrepreneurs and real estate investors in his family, Brian naturally followed suit. Having created the floor plan and built his long-time dream home for his wife and children, he finds joy in sharing that same experience with clients. From designing floor plans to selecting furnishings, he loves seeing visions come to fruition and being fully invested in the process. Brian also buys, repairs, and sells older homes as part of his real estate investment repertoire. When he first partnered with Kenton McClung as part of Custom Homes of Virginia, LLC, the pair built and sold 14 homes in their first year. With their combined extensive experience in the Hampton Roads real estate market, they saw a need for quality features at no additional cost and decided to offer their competitors upgrades as standard options. Most importantly, Brian takes pride in educating and protecting both buyers and sellers throughout the purchasing and selling processes.
Brian has always been interested in academic pursuits and training in a variety of disciplines. He has a continual thirst for knowledge and a passion to learn to better serve clients and thrive as an industry leader. Brian first received a joint undergraduate degree in management and marketing with a minor in psychology from Fairmont State College in West Virginia. From there, he went on to complete a master’s degree at Regent University in Virginia Beach and followed up with a doctoral degree in leadership training and coaching. Brian has also served as an adjunct professor at Regent in the areas of coaching, leadership development, and counseling. Additionally, Brian has experience in university administration and curriculum development at the undergrad, masters, and doctoral levels.
Born and raised in Clarksburg, West Virginia, Brian’s father served in the Navy and his grandfather fought with the Army during WWII. This Simon family history is one reason he finds so much joy in working with the military families of Hampton Roads. Today, he and his wife, Jami, have a four-year-old son, Ethan and a two-year old daughter, Ella Grace. Brian would say his family and real estate are truly his passions and that his heart for orphans and widows is a driving force in his business ventures. He has a deep desire to see them loved, protected, and trained to improve their quality of life. He also provides free leadership training sessions to those businesses or organizations willing to seriously consider adopting an orphanage through Warm Blankets Orphan Care International. Brian has teamed up with the outreach over the years, even adopting an orphanage of his own.
